    Description

1971 September, 26th New England Patriots vs Detroit Lions.
Original NFL Program from the 1st year of  the New England Patriots playing in Foxboro, MA. The stadium was named Schaefer Stadium in those days.
The program is really nice with a tight spine and shows very little wear. Minimally an Ex-Mt program.
The Lions won this game 34-7 behind Greg Landry and Steve Owens. This is the first regular season loss ever for the New England Patriots in Foxboro. The Patriots were coming off maybe the biggest win in Franchise history to that date after a season and Stadium opening day win over the power house Oakland Raiders the week before. They came back to earth quickly as they tended to do in the Sullivan ownership Era of the franchise.
