Convertible

Engine:
2.5L 6-Cylinder

70,042
Vehicle Original VIN : CC60132L
Built for seven years from 1969 through 1976, the TR6 succeeded the TR250/TR5 model. The TR6 body was designed by the German company Karmann and would appear quite a bit different then its Predecessor but in actuality would be largely similar sharing the same chassis, engines, running gears, doors, windscreen and much more. In fact the only changes that came to the TR6 over that seven year run were bumperettes added for US sales and production numbers would change. This particular TR6 appears to have had a cosmetic restoration done in the mid-1980's. That being said, it has not held up that well. Restorations were done a lot differently then vs. now. The has rust including some rot in a few areas as well as support areas. The body has some rust as well but can be salvaged. The interior is in fair condition and there is a brand new convertible top still in the box for this car. The car starts up nicely, idles well with virtually no start up smoke and once warm seems be just fine. The car shifts well with no noise in either up shifting or down shifting. This TR6 came in with brakes, in fact the consignor drove the car here from a ways away after he did the brakes but have since lost pressure. Guessing they need bled again. The lights work as do the gauges it seems. There is overspray and surface rust in the engine bay. This car does come with some spare parts as another restoration was started but never happened.
