    Dope Fiends
refrigerator magnets. Set of 8 magnets featuring covers of drug-related paperback books of the 1940's and 1950's. Illicit drugs and drug use was a popular topic for paperback books of the 1940's and 1950's. Each magnet is 2&½ inches tall and 1&¾ inches wide. The entire package is 15&½ inches tall and 4&¼ inches wide.
These magnets feature the covers of 8 of drug-related paperback books. These were actual covers of paperback titles. In typical fashion for that time, the cover art is lurid, melodramatic, and a great genre of period commercial art. The set is unopened and brand new in its original wrapper. These magnets have been re-issued several times; this set is one of the earlier "printings".
