E.R. Durkee & Co. New York food spice bottle w/ original shaker top / ground lip

Here is a nice clear, round food product or spice bottle, Blown in Mold (BIM) with ground lip, approx 4.125" tall, embossed on side: E.R. Durkee & Co. New York. Embossed on base: Bottle Patented April 17, 1877. Durkee was a very prolific manufacturer of various sauce and food products. See pp 128-129 of Betty Zumwalt's book: Ketchup Pickles Sauces - 19th Century Food In Glass.
Condition: Dug bottle, but very near mint. just a tiny bit of content haze, minor. NO chips, cracks or dings. Ground lip has normal minor nicking from the manufacturing process. Lid is original to the bottle but is in rough shape as yuou can see in the pictures above - but it is a survivor. I grade this one an 8.5 to 9 on a scale of 1 to 10.
