Scottish Architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh was known as an early innovator in Art Noveau, Symbolism & Secessionism. This chair was part of the furniture Chales and his Wife Margaret designed for the Hill House in Helensburgh Scottland. This tall ladder back has since become synonymous with Mackintosh's work making it an iconic piece of historical furniture. In fact, Vitra included the Hill House Chair in the highly coveted collection of miniature chairs (NOT meant for dollhouse use)

The chair is solidly built and features a very neutral white upholstery. If something more funky is desired the base can be easily uncrewed and new covering can be applied. The current cloth has some minor staining that can likely be cleaned up easily.
