J.R.R. Tolkien, Map of Middle-earth by Pauline Baynes, 1970

Description

This poster has been stored rolled in the original plastic sleeve for over 40 years - you can tell by the all "ridges" that it has spent many years rolled. It will need to be laid out for a while before it will be flat enough for use.
With that said, it's a beautiful poster, one of the earliest, published in 1970. Signed by Pauline Baynes, published by Ballantine Books in the US. There are ten small illustrations of important locations from the story.
It features nine figures on the top representing the members of "the Fellowship.  At the bottom is an array of antagonists from the novel, including the nine Black Riders, Gollum, Shelob, and various Orcs.
It will be shipped rolled - 24" x 36"
