These collars have proven to be much easier on the horse than traditional leather collars - as the horse sweats the collar face becomes very slick which allows slight movement of the collar as each side of the horse's shoulder flexes. Nobody uses horses harder than the Amish - after extensive real world testing they have found these collars to be much more comfortable to the horse than traditional leather collars.
