    Nils Lofgren
    at the Gesellschaftshaus im Zoo in Frankfurt [Germany] on Thursday, 2nd June, 1977, presented by MAMA Concerts, and with
    Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
    as special guests. The show in Offenbach was part of Lofgren's 1977 European tour in support of
    I Came to Dance
    , his third studio album, produced by Lofgren himself with drummer Andy Newmark, and released in early 1977 by A&M Records. The result was a smoother, more mainstream and sophisticated musical approach than his first two solo albums,
    Nils Lofgren
    (1975) and
    Cry Tough
    (1976), perhaps motivated by a view to increasing his commercial profile. Both Luther Vandross and Patti Austin are featured on the album as backing vocalists. Prior to going on tour with Nils Lofgren, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers had been busy at the Shelter Studio in Hollywood recording their self-titled debut album, produced by Denny Cordell. Containing the singles "Breakdown" and "American Girl", the album was released on 9th November, 1976 on Leon Russell and Denny Cordell's Shelter Records.
    The poster measures 83.7 x 59.0 cm (approx. 33 by 23.2 inches) and is beautifully printed in red and black inks on thin, uncoated paper stock. Folded vertically at the middle, else in excellent unmarked condition.
