Up for auction is a NEW, on the original marked card, obsolete and vintage World War II era sterling silver "Honorable Service" or "Ruptured Duck" lapel button. This button is in brand new NOS condition. Called "Ruptured Duck" by the members of the military, this was a lapel button awarded for honorable Federal military service between 1925 and 1946. The award, designed by Anthony de Francisci, was issued for wear on the left lapel of civilian clothing upon discharge. The button is marked STERLING on the back. This button measures approximately 0.5" high by 0.625" wide. Thanks for looking!!
