    Description

Offered Here, is an Original, Antique, Late 18th. Century to Very Early-1800's-Era Blown and "Wheel-Detailed" Vinegar or Table-Sauce Dispensing Bottle with a Very Primitive Hand-Forged Metal Top. The Bottle is Blown of Fairly Thick, Clear, Early "Flint-Glass". There are Copper-Wheel Engraved Designs or Details on the Sides of the Bottle, which Probably Predates the "Pressed-Glass" Era that became Popular in the United States in the 1820-30's. The Base of the Bottle has a "Polished-Pontil-Scar" which was Pretty Crudely Performed as you can still See some Indentations of where the Original Broken-Glass Pontil-Scar was situated exactly. Always Rare to see a Very Early Bottle with It's Original Metal Top, as Seen on this Example. The Top DOES NOT COME-OFF, and is Original to the Bottle evidently.
CONDITION: The Bottle is in "Excellent" Antique New England "Estate-Found" Condition w/ NO FORMS OF "DAMAGE", NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, NO "POT-STONE RADIATIONS", NO OPEN-BUBBLES, NO SCUFFS, SCRATCHES OR ABRASIONS, NO STRIKES OR IMPACT DINGS. There is a Tiny Edge-of-Pontil Nip, that is Seen in the Photos but it Is Probably an In-Manufacture Flaw, Caused During the Empontiling-Process.  There is a Very Slight Interior Dullness but May "Clean-Up" a lot More. Very Nice ~ !!
