Up for your consideration is acharming antique cream-colored salt-glaze stoneware pot/jar that was manufactured between 1888-1912 in Glasgow, Scotland.
FEATURES:
* The crock
contained pure fresh cream from the Wigtownshire Creamery Co. located in the port town of Stranraer, Scotland.

The advertising pot features the company logo of a milkmaid holding her bucket and milking stool, surrounded by a scrolled cartouche showing the name of the creamery in a brown/sepia transfer
* According to the
Future Museum of Southwest Scotland, c
ream jars used by the Wigtownshire Creamery Company were manufactured by the Caledonian Pottery Company, Rutherglen, Glasgow.

he sepia-brown transfer dyes were used before 1912.
