    Description

    Very Rare Pop Art, Postmodern, Memphis C. Steinberg Wood Trinket Box
    For sale is a very rare, one of a kind, handmade/hand painted wooden signed & dated Trinket Box made by Pop Artist, C. Steinberg.
    The yellow base is 1 3/4" tall with a base that measures 2" x 3 1/2" at the bottom and tapers up to a 3 3/4" square at the top; the height of the orange triangular top is 1 1/2".
    The wooden box is in very good condition; there are a few minor surface marks (see photos); since this is a handmade item the edges and corners at the top of the yellow bottom section are not perfectly smooth (see photos).  I am the original owner and purchased this at an art gallery in 1991; for many years I displayed the box with other Postmodern and Memphis Milano items; however it has been in climate controlled storage over the past 15 years.
